Dr. Malesia J. Britt – Visionary. Educator. Preacher. Publisher. Mother of Movements.

Dr. Malesia Britt is a preacher of liberation, a teacher of restoration, and a publisher of voices the world tried to silence. A seminary-trained theologian, cultural strategist, and truth-teller, she lives at the intersection of Spirit, scholarship, and systems change. Through every role she embodies; mother, educator, poet, disciple, prophetic voice, she carries a singular message with radical clarity:

You were made in love, for love, to become love in the world.

But this is no passive love. It is a liberating, layered theology of love—a force that remembers, resists, restores, and rebuilds. This love dismantles domination systems, holds grief and joy together, and births new futures across generations.

Dr. Malesia’s work emerges from a deep well of theological vision and lived wisdom. From her formative research—Bridging Generations, Holding Tension: A Christian Ethical Vision for the Multigenerational Church and Church and the Common Good: A Proposal for Christian Witness Today—to her transformative model Faithful Responsiveness: A Multi-Tiered Approach to Discipleship, Formation, and Pastoral Care, she calls the church to reimagine discipleship not as indoctrination, but as healing and holy resistance.

She extends that prophetic lens beyond the church walls. In her widely shared Seattle Times op-ed, WA is not only losing Black teachers — it’s pushing them out, she exposes the systemic barriers that erode educational equity and calls for radical reformation rooted in truth and justice. Her voice bridges pulpit and policy, personal witness and public advocacy.

Her pastoral ethic centers three sacred truths:

  • You were not an accident.
Every story, even the hardest parts, carries divine design. You are a living word in God’s unfolding gospel.

  • Healing is holy work.
Through prophetic preaching, trauma-informed teaching, and restorative frameworks, she transforms the church, classroom, and community into sacred spaces of repair.

  • Liberation is the fruit of love.
Love that does not disrupt injustice is not love at all. Real love amplifies the silenced, builds bridges across generations, and forms people into the likeness of Christ.

Through her publishing and media platform Ebb & Flow Ventures Media Group, her debut anthology Concrete Chronicles, and her faith-based podcast Another Altar Call: A Liberatory Cypher, Dr. Malesia stewards multigenerational movements rooted in justice, story, and sacred presence.

Her MTSS-informed model for pastoral care, spiritual formation, and intergenerational discipleship calls the church to move from rigid programming to relational responsiveness. Drawing from theologians and authors like James Cone, Toni Morrison, Walter Wink, and Kelly Brown Douglas, her work bridges prophetic tradition with pastoral depth, always asking:

“What does love require here?”

Because the gospel is not information—it’s transformation.
And love is the key that unlocks it.

Dr. Malesia Britt is not simply building platforms—she is birthing movements.
She is a transformer of systems. A restorer of voices. A mother of new worlds.
And she’s just getting started.
